North Somerset's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Somerset's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 7pm October 10 to 6am December 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 lane closures for resurfacing.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm November 6 to 6am November 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via, junction 22 and back.

M5, from 9pm November 13 to 6am November 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm November 13 to 6am November 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via, junction 22 and back.

M5, from 8pm November 14 to 6am November 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 exit slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 20 and return.

M5, from 9pm November 16 to 6am November 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.

M5, from 9pm November 20 to 6am November 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 to 21, lane closure for carriageway repairs.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
