North Somerset's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 8pm May 9 to 6am May 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5, junction 21 northbound, entry slip closed for drainage, diversion via, junction 22 and return.

M5, from 8pm May 12 to 6am May 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5, junction 21 southbound, exit slip closed for drainage, diversion via, junction 22 and return.

M5, from 9pm May 18 to 6am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 exit slip - lane closure for construction improvement.

M5, from 9pm May 18 to 6am May 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - Lane closure leading to junction 19 exit slip road closed for Construction improvement/Upgrade, diversion: continue M5 south, exit, junction 20, turn and re-join M5 north, exit, junction 19.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
