North Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm April 11 to 6am May 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 19 to junction 20 lane closure for barrier improvements.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 8pm April 18 to 5am April 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 to 21 - lane closures for carriageway repairs.

M5, from 8pm April 19 to 5am April 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20 - lane closures for resurfacing.

M5, from 8pm April 20 to 5am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to 22 lane closures for resurfacing.

M5, from 8pm April 21 to 5am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 - lane closures for resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
