North Somerset road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week
North Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• M5, from 9pm March 10 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, M5, junction 19 to 20 - lane closure for inspection/survey works.
And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M5, from 9pm March 20 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closures for structure maintenance.

Hide Ad• M5, from 9pm March 22 to 6am March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.
• M5, from 8am March 23 to 4pm March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 hard shoulder closure for drainage works.
• M5, from 9pm March 26 to 6am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 19 to junction 20 lane closure for barrier surveys.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
