North Somerset road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week

North Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 10pm December 12 to 6am December 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 19 - lane closures for road markings renewal.

M5, from 10pm December 13 to 6am December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 - single lane running for road markings renewal.

M5, from 10pm December 13 to 6am December 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to 20 lane closure for electrical works.

A4, from 9pm December 15 to 6am December 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 exit and entry slip roads closed for road markings renewal, diversion for exit slip via M5, exit and turn, junction 18, join M5 southbound to junction 19, diversion for entry slip via M5 southbound, exit and turn at, junction 20.

M5, from 11pm December 16 to 6am December 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 18 - lane closure for road markings renewal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
