North Somerset road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week
North Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

Hide AdThe latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start this week:
• M5, from 9pm August 8 to 6am August 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20 lane closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm August 9 to 6am August 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20 lane closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm August 10 to 6am August 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 21 to 20 lane closure for barrier works.

Hide Ad• M5, from 9pm August 15 to 6am August 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 20 to junction 21 Lane closures for Structural maintenance, diversion for, junction 20 southbound, entry Slip and junction 20 northbound, exit Slip - M5 northbound to junction 19 and return, diversion for, junction 20 southbound, exit Slip - M5 southbound to junction 21 and return.
• M5, from 9pm August 18 to 6am August 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 22 to 21 lane closure for barrier works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
