North Somerset road closures: eight for motorists to avoid this week

North Somerset's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

North Somerset's motorists will have eight road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm March 10 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, M5, junction 19 to 20 - lane closure for inspection/survey works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 9pm March 20 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closures for structure maintenance.

M5, from 9pm March 22 to 6am March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18 lane closures for structure maintenance.

M5, from 8am March 23 to 4pm March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 hard shoulder closure for drainage works.

M5, from 9pm March 26 to 6am April 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 19 to junction 20 lane closure for barrier surveys.

M5, from 10pm March 27 to 6am March 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry slip closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via southbound to junction 20 and back.

M5, from 8am to 6pm on March 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 - hard shoulder closure for inspection/survey works.

M5, from 8pm April 3 to 6am April 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 exit and entry slip closed for road markings renewal. Diversion for exit slip via, junction 20 and back. Diversion for entry slip via, junction 22 and back.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
