North Somerset road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

North Somerset's motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 10 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M5, from 10pm February 12 to 6am February 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closure for drainage works.

• M5, from 8pm February 14 to 6am February 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20, lane closure for carriageway repairs.

• M5, from 8pm February 15 to 6am February 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20, lane closure for carriageway repairs.

• M5, from 8pm February 17 to 6am February 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20 closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via A370, A4 to M5, junction 18, (Clean Air Zone charge suspended on diversion route during closure times only).

• M5, from 9am to 4pm on February 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 hard shoulder closure for electrical works.

• M5, from 9pm February 19 to 5am February 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to 22 lane closures for electrical works.

• M5, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 21 lane closures for structure maintenance.

• M5, from 8pm February 24 to 6am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip road closed for carriageway repairs. Diversion via M5, junction 22 and back.

• M5, from 8pm February 25 to 6am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to 20, lane closure for carriageway repairs.

• M5, from 7pm February 26 to 6am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 lane closures for resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
