Road closures: two for Bath and North East Somerset drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And they are both are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week:

A36, from 8pm July 18 to 6am July 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 both directions Hantone Hill to Beckington closed for surveys. Diversion via A361, A350, A4 and vice versa.

A4, from 11pm July 22 to 6am July 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road entry slip closed for horticultural works. Diversion via London Road West to Box roundabout or alternatively via A4 to Cold Ashton roundabout and back.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
