But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

A36, from 9am October 10 to 3pm October 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound and southbound, Bathampton to Brassknocker Hill - multi-way signals for survey works.

A4, from 10pm October 11 to 6am October 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 both directions Bathampton lane closure for drainage.

A36, from 9am October 24 to 3pm November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound and southbound, Bathampton to Brassknocker Hill - multi-way signals for survey works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
