Road closures: four for Bath and North East Somerset drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 9.30am January 2 to 3.30pm February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A4, from 10pm January 26 to 6am January 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 westbound, Box Road Roundabout to London Road lane closure for sign maintenance.

A4, from 10pm February 1 to 6am February 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road entry slip road closed for drainage works, diversion via A46 northbound to Cold Ashton, to turn and return southbound.

A36, from 9.30am February 5 to 6am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
