Road closures: four for Bath and North East Somerset drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 10am to 3pm on August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Limpley Stoke to River Frome traffic lights for sign works.

A4, from 10pm August 4 to 6am August 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road entry slip road closed for drainage works. Diversion via A46 northbound to Cold Ashton, to turn and return southbound.

A46, from 9pm August 14 to 5am August 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 southbound, London Road exit slip road - lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
