Road closures: five for Bath and North East Somerset drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 8am December 9 to 5pm December 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton to Claverton traffic signals for survey works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A46, from 8pm December 12 to 6am December 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 Both Directions London Road to Cold Ashton (Treetops) two-way traffic signals for carriageway reconstruction.

A36, from 9pm December 14 to 6am December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton traffic lights to install cycle detection system (DFT ROAD STATISTICS DIVISION).

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

A36, from 9am December 19 to 5am December 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bath to Claverton two-way signals for tree removal.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
