Road closures: five for Bath and North East Somerset drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A36, from 9am June 19 to 3.30pm June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Monkton Combe to Limpley Stoke two-way signals for surveys.

• A36, from 10am June 26 to 3pm June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Claverton stop and go signs for drainage works.

• A4, from 8pm June 26 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 both direction Cold Ashton to London Road closed for coring surveys. Diversion via A4, A350, A420 and vice versa.

• A36, from 9am to 3pm on July 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Limpley Stoke - multiway signals for signage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
