Bath and North East Somerset road closures: three for motorists to avoid this week

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A4, from 9.30am April 23 to 3pm April 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 both directions Bath to Box Roundabout lane closures for BANES Council litter picking.

• A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:

• A4, from 10pm May 8 to 6am May 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 both directions Cold Ashton Roundabout to London Road Roundabout carriageway closed for maintenance, diversion A420, A350, A4.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
