But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

A36, from 9am to 3.30pm on September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Limpley Stoke traffic lights installed by Bath and North East Somerset for tree cutting.

A36, from 9am September 5 to 3pm September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound and southbound, Bathampton to Brassknocker Hill - multi-way signals for electrical works.

A36, from 9am September 19 to 3pm September 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound and southbound, Bathampton to Brassknocker Hill - multi-way signals for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
