Bath and North East Somerset road closures: seven for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 8am February 5 to 5pm March 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 9am to 4pm on February 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Limpley Stoke traffic lights in place for 3rd party horticulture works.

A36, from 8pm February 21 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington carriageway closure for drainage, diversion northbound, via A361, A350 and A4, Reverse for southbound.

A36, from 8pm February 21 to 5am February 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Limpley Stoke to Claverton four-way signals for electrical work.

A36, from 12.10am February 24 to 4.50am February 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Bath and A36 Bath to Beckington used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome / Westbury to Chippenham route.

A46, from 8am March 1 to 4pm March 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions M4, junction 18 to Tadwick Verge works for horticulture.

A36, from 12.10am March 2 to 4.50am March 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Bath and A36 Bath to Beckington used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome / Westbury to Chippenham route.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
