Bath and North East Somerset road closures: seven for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 9am June 19 to 3.30pm June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Monkton Combe to Limpley Stoke two-way signals for surveys.

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 10am June 26 to 3pm June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Claverton stop and go signs for drainage works.

A4, from 8pm June 26 to 6am June 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 both direction Cold Ashton to London Road closed for coring surveys. Diversion via A4, A350, A420 and vice versa.

A36, from 9am to 3pm on July 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Limpley Stoke - multiway signals for signage works.

A36, from 9am to 4pm on July 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton stop and go for maintenance works.

A36, from 8pm July 10 to 6am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 both directions Bathampton to Beckington closed for white lining. Diversion via A361, A350, A4 and vice versa.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
