Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A4, from 9am May 18 to 4pm May 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road Rbt to Box Rbt lane closure for horticulture.

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

A4, from 10pm May 22 to 6am May 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road to Box Rbt carriageway closure for central reservation, diversion, return to Cold Ashton A420, east to Chippenham, A350 South to A4.

A4, from 9am May 23 to 4pm May 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 westbound, Box Rbt to London Road Rbt lane closure for horticulture.

A4, from 10pm May 23 to 6am May 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A4 westbound, Box Rbt to London Road carriageway closure for central reservation, diversion, Turn back on A4 to Chippenham, A350 north to A420, west to Cold Ashton, south on A46.

A46, from 8pm May 24 to 6am May 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Woolley lane closure / traffic lights for tree removal.

A36, from 9am May 30 to 3.30pm June 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Monkton Combe two-way signals for surveys.

A46, from 8pm May 31 to 6am June 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions M4, junction 18 to Cold Ashton multi-way signals for horticulture.

A36, from 7am June 5 to 6pm June 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road, junction with Church Lane - multi-way signals for Wiltshire Council works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
