Bath and North East Somerset road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:

A4, from 8pm December 4 to 6am December 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Both Directions A46 London Road to Box Rbt carriageway closures for drainage, diversion for heavy vehicles via A46, A420 and A4, diversion for light vehicles via London Road West, London Road East.

A36, from 7am December 5 to 7pm December 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Claverton to Freshford traffic lights for surveys.

A36, from 7am December 6 to 7pm December 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton traffic lights for surveys.

A46, from 8pm December 12 to 6am December 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A46 Both Directions London Road to Cold Ashton (Treetops) two-way traffic signals for carriageway reconstruction.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
