Bath and North East Somerset road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 3.01pm February 18 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Limpley Stoke two-way traffic signals for Geotechnical works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

A36, from 9am March 28 to 3pm March 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton to Bath Road Rbt - Stop and Go signs in place for drainage works.

A4, from 10pm March 28 to 6am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A4 Bath eastbound, entry slip from London Road, junction closed for drainage works. Diversion via A46 northbound to Cold Ashton Roundabout, to turn and return southbound.

A4, from 9.30am April 6 to 3.30pm April 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Bathampton lane closure in both directions for litter picking.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
