Bath and North East Somerset road closures: five for motorists to avoid this week

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A36, from 6am March 13 to 6pm March 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Brassknocker Hill to Limpley Stoke - 24hr two-way signals for inspection/surveys.

A36, from 6pm March 14 to 11pm March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Limpley Stoke. 2-way signals for road markings work.

A46, from 7am to 2pm on March 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 both directions Cold Ashton to Bathampton - lane closures and stop and go signals for inspection/survey.

A36, from 7am to 5pm on March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Limpley Stoke - stop and go for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
