Bath and North East Somerset road closures: five for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Bath and North East Somerset's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 9am September 1 to 5pm September 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Bathampton. 2-way signals on behalf of Wessex Water.

A36, from midnight, December 19 2022 to 11pm November 23 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A36, from 9.30am September 11 to 3.30pm September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road between, junction with Lower Stoke and junction with Woods Hill. 2-way signals on behalf of Bath and North East Somerset Council.

A4, from 10pm September 11 to 6am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 both directions Cold Ashton roundabout to London Road roundabout - carriageway closure for electrical works, diversion for southbound, via A420, A350, A4. For northbound, follow the same in reverse.

A46, from 8am September 15 to 4pm September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions M4, junction 18 to Tadwick Verge works for horticulture.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
