The Apprentice 2022: Meet Bristol contestant Brittany Carter who’s looking to launch the first alcoholic protein drink

A hotel manager from Bristol has been revealed as one of the 16 contestants in the new series of The Apprentice - and says she’s confident she’ll make it to the final thanks to her ‘positive outlook’ on life.

Brittany Carter, a former pupil at Colston’s Girls’ School, which has since changed its name to Montpelier High School, is looking for Lord Sugar’s help launching her business idea for the world’s first alcoholic protein drink.

The 25-year-old, who also attended St Brendan’s Sixth Form College in Brislington, describes herself as ‘kind, sociable and enthusiastic’ and ‘ready to learn as much as possible’.

“My motto for life is ‘always look on the bright side and be grateful for everything’,” said Brittany.

“Every day when I wake up, I write 10 things that I am grateful for and when I go to sleep, I reflect on five things I am grateful for from that day.”

Brittany will be up against 15 other ambitious new entrepreneurs competing to win a life-changing £250,000 investment in their business.

With the loser’s cab on standby, there’s no easing gently back into boardroom life and Lord Sugar makes it clear from the outset that the stakes are higher than ever.

Each task will end with the candidates being summoned in to fight their corner in the boardroom, with one final opportunity to escape the firing line.

The Apprentice returns on Thursday 6 January from 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
