Yotam Ottolenghi and Noor Murad, St George’s Bristol

Acclaimed chef and food writer Yotam Ottolenghi is joined on stage at St George’s Bristol by Noor Murad, from the Ottolenghi Test Kitchen (OTK) for a deliciously interactive evening. Encounters Film Festival, Watershed

Happening in-person for the first time since 2019, Bristol’s largest international film festival returns to Watershed with a packed programme of short film, animation and virtual reality. Celebrating their 28th festival edition, this year’s line-up features titles drawn from 41 countries around the world, delivering storytelling across a multitude of genres. Windmill Hill’s annual arts trail is kicking back into life this weekend with over 60 creatives exhibiting in their own homes and community venues across Windmill Hill and Victoria Park from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. A huge variety of arts and crafts will be on show, from paintings, prints and ceramics, to mechanical toys and paper-folding. For those who fancy getting stuck in, there will be a variety of free workshops including badge-making and leather repair. Harry Hill Pedigree Fun!, Redgrave Theatre

Comedy veteran Harry Hill is back on the road with brand-new jokes in an all-singing, all-dancing one-man spectacular. This show in the intimate surroundings of the Redgrave Theatre is a preview before Harry starts the tour in much bigger venues so a rare opportunity to see a comedy legend at close quarters. Audiences will meet Harry’s new baby elephant, Sarah, and Ian, The Information Worm, as well as sidekick Stouffer the Cat. For tickets, click here.

Beauty & The Beast, Hippodrome

Based on the 1991 film, Disney’s Olivier Award-winning stage musical Beauty and the Beast has been re-imagined and re-designed in a completely new production that visits the Bristol Hippodrome as part of its UK and Ireland Tour. Spectacular new designs and state-of-the-art technology fuse with the classic story, as the timeless romantic tale is brought to life on stage like never before, with all the charm and elegance audiences expect from Belle and her Beast. Snarky Puppy, 02 Academy

Multiple Grammy Award-winning musical collective Snarky Puppy stop off at Bristol’s 02 Academy on a four-date UK tour that finishes at London’s OVO Arena Wembley. Funnyman Mark Simmons is a master of the one-liner and he brings his brand new show, Quip off the Mark, to the Hen & Chicken on North Street. Simmons recently joined Dara Ó Briain and Hugh Dennis on BBC2’s Mock The Week as a semi-regular on the show.
