New free Halloween event with pumpkin patch and murder mystery maze coming near Bristol

The Picking Patch, at Glenavon Farm on Bath Road in Saltford, will feature pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, a murder mystery maze, an escape room, ‘witch’ crafts, hot food and drink, and more.

Hide AdThe free event will have more than 20 varieties of pumpkins to pick, from the Polar Bear and Goosebumps to the Casperita and Munchkin.
There will also be photo opportunities, including a pumpkin carriage, giant pumpkin scarecrows, a witch’s house, pumpkin houses and “of course acres of beautiful pumpkins, wheelbarrows and smiles”.

Hide AdPicking Patch will be also hosting weekly twilight evenings, where it will be open for PYO pumpkins, hot food, marshmallow toasting and hot chocolates from 6-8pm.
Picking Patch has free entry and is open on October 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, and 25-31 October, from 9.30am-5pm. The twilight evenings will run on October 12, 19 and 26.
