Love Saves The Day Bristol 2024: Line-up, banned items, road closures and travel

Bristol’s biggest independent festival, Love Saves The Day, will be returning with it’s strongest line-up yet from May 25 to May 26 at Ashton Court.

This year’s festival will be headlined by CamelPhat, RUDIMENTAL, The Streets and SUB FOCUS Presents Evolve, along with a whole host of live acts and DJs across all genres across ten stages, including the Love Saves Stage, Brouhaha, Centre Stage and The Big Top, over the bank holiday weekend.

Tom Paine, Festival Director at Love Saves The Day, said: “We always love kicking off festival season and creating a programme that everyone will love. There’s some huge names on the line-up and some stellar ones to watch out for this year. CASISDEAD, Joy Orbinson and of course Goldie, who has become Bristol royalty. It’s one of the strongest line-ups we’ve ever curated - so bring on summer!”

Love Saves The Day gate opening times

The gates will open at 12pm and close at 8pm on both days of the festival. Guests will not be able to re-enter the festival.

Love Saves The Day - banned items list

These are the prohibited items at the festival according to the Love Saves The Day website:

- Chairs/stools

- Fireworks, laser pens, or flares

- Alcohol, illicit drugs, or legal highs including nitrous oxides

- Animals (with the exception of assistance dogs)

-Selfie sticks and gimbals

- Umbrellas

- Glass (this includes perfume bottles and similar containers)

- Cans

- Glitter

- Hi-Vis waistcoats, jackets or vests

- Bicycles or scooters

- Food, drink, cool boxes, picnic hampers (with the exception of medical requirement)

- Pens or paint

- Unmanned aerial vehicles (aka Drones)

- Disposable or single use vapes

- Anything which could be considered an offensive weapon or could cause danger or nuisance.

Festival-goers are encouraged to bring their own empty reusable water bottle and there will be multiple water refilling stations around the site.

Cloakroom

There will be a cloakroom at the Info Tent which charges £4 per small item and £6 per large item.

Love Save The Day road closures

The following road closures will be in place from 10am to 2am from May 24 to 25 and May 25 to 26:

- Brunel Way (A370 north eastbound carriageway – from Long Ashton By-Pass (A370) to Ashton Gate Underpass (A3029) south westbound carriageway – from Winterstoke Road (A3029) to Long Ashton By-Pass (A370).

- Clanage Road (A369) northbound carriageway – from Clanage Roundabout (A369) to Rownham Hill (A369) southbound carriageway – from Rownham Hill (A369) to Brunel Way (A370)

- Clanage Roundabout (A369)

- Portishead Way (A369) – from Brunel Way (A370) to Winterstoke Underpass (A369)

- Winterstoke Underpass (A369) northbound carriageway – from Ashton Road (A3029) to Clanage Roundabout (A369) southbound carriageway – from Clanage Roundabout (A369) to Winterstoke Road (A3029)

- Courtlands Lane – from Kennel Lodge Road to Parklands Road

- Parklands Road – from Clanage Road (A369) to Courtlands Lane

How to get to Love Saves The Day

Festival Shuttle Bus

The Love Bus will be returning with pick-ups from Bristol Temple Meads Station and Central Bristol and drop-offs at Long Ashton Park & Ride, as well as return journeys. More details on the Love Bus timetable coming soon.

Bike park

There will be limited bike parking near the festival site. If you would like to use the bike park, make sure to bring a lock. All bikes are left at owner’s risk.

TIER Scooters

There will be a scooter park for TIER scooters at the Bower Ashton UWE campus car park, however, the scooters will not be able to be used to leave the festival.

Taxi/Car

The closest and most convenient drop-off point to the festival for taxis/Ubers/private vehicles is at Long Ashton Park and Ride (What3Words: Demand.Margin.Assume), which is about 1km from the festival. The drop-off point is for arrival only and is not accessible to pick ups at the end of the event due to road closures.

There will be no general car parking on site and due to road closures and parking exclusions in the surrounding areas, festival-goers will need to come to the festival by foot, bike or public transport.

Coach

Travelling from outside of Bristol? National Express will be offering daily coaches from Bath (Bus Station), Birmingham Coach Station (Digbeth), Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Trowbridge with return coach fares starting at £35. Daily festival arrival at 11am and return at 11.45pm.
