Almost one year ago, Glastonbury festival-goers faced the ultimate test as more than 50,000 workers at Network Rail walked-out on strike, impacting the first day of Worthy Farm’s colossal music event.

Those who hadn’t already secured a ticket to travel via coach had to seek overcrowded means of public travel or navigate the thronged traffic by car. While it is highly unlikely industrial action will disrupt Glasto again, many will be eager to know all their options just in case.

Whether you’re travelling to the festival by car, shuttle bus, train or simply need to locate where the best point to be picked up is - here’s everything you need to know about getting to Glastonbury Festival 2023.

How to get to Glastonbury’s Worthy Farm by car

Ticket holders arriving to the festival by car should already have purchased an add-on car park pass. However, do not panic if not as those yet to buy a car parking pass can purchase them on the gate for £60.

Car parks in the festival site will open at 9pm on Tuesday but those travelling early should note that festival gates open at 8am on Wednesday morning and drivers are expected to remain in their cars until then.

Drivers can decide on which side of the site to approach from but choosing a specific car park is out of your hands. Stewards will fill certain car parks to keep traffic moving on the public highways and parking spaces available at each destination.
