Mother's Day 2024: Bristol cinema to give away free chocolate bars to mums

A Bristol cinema will be giving away free chocolate bars to mums on Mother's Day this weekend.

All mums will be gifted a free Galaxy chocolate bar with any family ticket on Sunday (March 10).

The offer comes after a survey by Showcase Cinemas revealed that 69% of respondents feel mum has to give up her treats to satisfy her young ones all too often.

According to the survey, one in ten Brits will be heading to the cinema this Mother's Day with the top five films nuns are keen to enjoy this Mother's Day being Bob Marley: One Love (12%), Wicked Little Letters (11%), Dune: Part Two (9%), Anyone But You (7%) and Migration (5%).

Jon Dixon, UK Marketing Director at Showcase Cinemas, said: “We’re delighted to be offering mums a free chocolate bar this Mother’s Day. Our survey reveals Brits believe mums are forced into sharing things too much with their children, so we wanted to give them a sweet treat on us!
