I attended the popular Drawing Club Bristol, which has been running for 10 years and can't wait to return
The popular and informal Drawing Club Bristol has met weekly in the city centre since 2015.
The free event is open to anyone -regardless of skills - who wants to work on their creative projects with the company of other creatives.

A friend introduced me to the event, and I can't wait to return.
So far, I have only been able to go to the Drawing Club twice.
During my first visit, I met up with a friend who had recommended the club and I had a blast.

I just about completed a sketch I was working on and made a lot of new acquaintances.

The second visit was different, but just as fun.
I decided to come around 6pm to make the most of the session and ordered a Bánh mì ‘Chay’ (Chinese Tofu Mock Duck; £8) to have as my dinner.
This time, the social was held downstairs and I didn't see any familiar faces but was quickly welcomed into a table with other creatives.

Hide AdLittle after, my meal arrived and as delicious as I was, I quickly realised it was not the best choice for drawing, so I set my drawing supplies aside as I indulged in the messy meal.
The sandwich was filling, refreshing and very delicious but, next time, I'll be opting for a less messy option.

As the evening continued, it didn't take long for conversations to flow about art supplies, fandoms, our backgrounds and the pieces we were working on.
Happy with my progress of completing a rough sketch and finishing the last details of a watercolour painting, I decided to call it a night around 9pm.
