I attended the popular Drawing Club Bristol, which has been running for 10 years and can't wait to return

A friend introduced me to the event, and I can't wait to return.

So far, I have only been able to go to the Drawing Club twice.

During my first visit, I met up with a friend who had recommended the club and I had a blast.

I alternated between chatting and drawing and stayed much longer than I originally intended, but it was worth it!

I just about completed a sketch I was working on and made a lot of new acquaintances.

I decided to come around 6pm to make the most of the session and ordered a Bánh mì ‘Chay’ (Chinese Tofu Mock Duck; £8) to have as my dinner. I quickly realised it was not the best choice for drawing, so I set my drawing supplies aside as I indulged in the messy meal.I decided to come around 6pm to make the most of the session and ordered a Bánh mì ‘Chay’ (Chinese Tofu Mock Duck; £8) to have as my dinner. The second visit was different, but just as fun.

I decided to come around 6pm to make the most of the session and ordered a Bánh mì ‘Chay’ (Chinese Tofu Mock Duck; £8) to have as my dinner.

This time, the social was held downstairs and I didn't see any familiar faces but was quickly welcomed into a table with other creatives.

Little after, my meal arrived and as delicious as I was, I quickly realised it was not the best choice for drawing, so I set my drawing supplies aside as I indulged in the messy meal.

The sandwich was filling, refreshing and very delicious but, next time, I'll be opting for a less messy option.

Overall, it's a very fun experience. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and it offers the perfect space to balance being productive with creative projects and having a few hours to socialise with like-minded people.Overall, it's a very fun experience. As the evening continued, it didn't take long for conversations to flow about art supplies, fandoms, our backgrounds and the pieces we were working on.

Happy with my progress of completing a rough sketch and finishing the last details of a watercolour painting, I decided to call it a night around 9pm.
