Bristol Wing Fest 2022: what is it, when is it taking place and what to expect from Bristol’s culinary event

Why did the chicken wing cross the road? To get to Harbourside. That’s right, Wing Fest is returning to Bristol.

Fans of chicken in Bristol may want to loosen their belts a little in September, as the national Wing Fest event arrives for another year of music, beer and those all important chicken wings.

Event organisers have boasted that 2022s event, taking place at Lloyds Amphitheatre, Harbourside, will serve up 100,000 wings from 20 different street food traders, restaurants and BBQ teams.

Bristol Wing Fest 2022 will also see the return of the eating competition, with competitive eaters able to sign up for some of the limited spaces still available the day of the event.

With Chicken George and The Ribman picking up the People Choice and Judge Choice top spot for Best Buffalo Wing in 2021, will the eatery claim a back-to-back victory in 2022 or will another plucky chicken vendor scoop up the award?
