'Massive' first headliner for Bristol's 'iconic' summertime gig series Siren announced

Bloc Party have been announced as the first headliner for Bristol’s summertime gig series, Siren.

The rock band will take to the stage on Friday, July 25 for “an unforgettable show as they crank up the heat at Bristol’s Amphitheatre”.

A Siren spokesperson said: “Celebrating 20 years of Silent Alarm, the album that influenced a generation, Bloc Party’s Siren performance promises to be a landmark moment.

“With hits like Banquet, Helicopter and Blue Light, their signature blend of raw guitar riffs, unmatched beats and soulful lyrics has continually pushed the boundaries of dance-rock.

“As the band takes the Harbourside stage to deliver the perfect soundtrack for a summer night in one of Bristol’s most iconic settings, fans can expect a mix of nostalgia and energy that will define this year’s Siren experience.”

Siren celebrates the best in dance music, bringing together international stars and underground legends, with previous year’s performances from the likes of Sean Paul, Wilkinson, Fabio & Grooverider, Sugababes and Andy C.

Pre-sale tickets for Bloc Party’s headliner event will be available from Monday January, 13 at 6pm with a sign up link here.

General sale tickets live from Tuesday, January 14 on the Siren website. Tickets start at £45, with more names to be revealed soon.
