As Halloween approaches, Slotswise.com has revealed the ‘most haunted’ counties in the UK based the number of ‘haunted locations’ and cemeteries.
They used data from the Paranormal Database and cemetery records from FindAGrave.com to assign a ‘Total Haunt Score’ to each county.

Hide AdBristol and Somerset ranked 8th for most ‘haunted locations’ (416) and 5th for most cemeteries (854) and 4th overall with a ‘Total Haunt Score’ of 1270.
Overall, Yorkshire was crowned the ‘most haunted’ county with 2048 cemeteries, 834 ‘haunted locations’ and a ‘Total Haunt Score’ of 2882.
Greater London ranked second with 908 cemeteries, 792 ‘haunted locations’ and a ‘Total Haunt Score’ of 1700 and Norfolk was third with 924 cemeteries, 410 ‘haunted locations’ and a ‘Total Haunt Score’ of 1334.

Hide AdThe counties with the most ‘haunted locations’ were Yorkshire (834), Greater London (792) and Essex (525).
The counties with the most cemeteries were Yorkshire (2048), Lincolnshire (961) and Norfolk (924).
