1. Abbots Pool and Woodland
The pools at the heart of the nature reserve, which date back to the Middle Ages, and the connecting cascades are a must see. There are benches around the area to relax and be enveloped by the soothing sounds of the falling water. If you are lucky, you may also meet the resident ducks! | BristolWorld

2. Uphill Hill Nature Reserve
Located in Weston-super-Mare, Uphill Hill Nature Reserve has some of the most gorgeous views overlooking the Mendips and Bristol Channel. In spring, a beautiful array of cowslips, primroses and green-winged orchids covers the northern and eastern hill slopes. The site is also home to multiple archaeological features, including a disused lime kiln from the 19th century, a sheep wash and a powder house. | BristolWorld

3. Blaise Castle Estate
The estate has a little something for everyone: from a garden centre, to open fields, caves, a café, a museum and fairy tale-like paths, what's not to love? It's also easy to access with the 76 bus and has a very soothing atmosphere. | BristolWorld

4. Priory Park Landscape Gardens
The entry fee was worth it to see stunning architecture and soothing pools and cascades. There is also a lovely looking café next to a waterfall and a couple of play areas for children. | BristolWorld
