Great Bristol Run 2025: Full list of 73 road closures for the half marathon and 10K

Plan your travel ahead as the Great Bristol Run 2025 will bring 73 road closures for the half marathon and 10K event.

Thousands of runners are getting ready for the biggest annual half-marathon and 10k race event in Bristol.

This year’s AJ Bell Great Bristol Run takes place across two days: May 10 and 11.

Billed ‘Super Saturday’, the Junior & Mini Run will put a spotlight on younger runners on May 10.

The 10k, 10k VI Challenge, Half-marathon and Elite Wheelchair race will be taking place on May 11.

Some 73 roads will be closed for the May 11 event.

From 4am to 5pm:

- Anchor Road

- Canon’s Road

- Canon’s Way

- College Square

- Deanery Road

- Explore Lane

- Harbourway

- Lime Kiln Road

- Lower College Street

- Partition Street

From 6am to 12.30pm:

- Christina Terrace

- Hotwell Road (westbound Anchor Road to Merchants Road)

- Humphry Davy Way

- Merchants Road (Rownhawn Mead to Humphry Davy Way

- Plimsoll Bridge/ Brunel Way

- Rownham Mead (Hotwell Road to Merchants Road)

The following roads will be closed during May 11 from 6am to 2.14pm:

- A4 Portway (Hotwell Road to Sylvan Way)

- Bennett Way

- Bridge Valley Road

- Cabot Way

- Cumberland Basin Road

- Hotwell Road (westbound Cumberland Basin Road to Portway)

More than 23,000 people are expected to take part in this year’s AJ Bell Great Bristol Run, which will be taking over the city’s streets on 10-11 May 2025, with both the half-marathon and 10k events now sold out.
