Bristol Bus Station issues update about emergency closure amid travel disruption

The station, on Marlborough Street in the city centre, had announced earlier in the week it was closing for three nights starting Wednesday (October 23).

Hide AdFirst services were to commence and terminate away from the station as a result of closure.
But in an update yesterday (October 24), First said it would now not be closing that night and tonight, with bus services operating as normal.
In a social media post, the bus company wrote: “Following negotiations with contractors, who are working on our electrification programme, we have been able to minimise the disruption to Bristol Bus Station, which will be open as usual from today.
“Please note we will now not be closing the station over the following two nights – bus services will operate as normal.”
