The transfer window is in full swing, and Bristol Rovers are ready to get in on the action

Bristol Rovers are looking to get in on all the January transfer window fun with a new signing in the pipeline. The window has been open for almost three weeks and there have been no new faces through the door at the Memorial Stadium.

In terms of transfer news, Scott Sinclair signed a new 18-month deal this week which will keep him at the Mem until the summer of 2024. He was subject of interest from other clubs and his original short-term deal had been due to expire after this weekend but Rovers have managed to tie him down.

Rovers' transfer recruitment team however have a job on their hands as Joey Barton has made his message clear that he wants new arrivals and that could include six new signings. As with any transfer window, speculation is rife and numerous players have been linked with a move to the West Country.

Two players from Liverpool have been linked after Joey Barton took in an Under-21's match last week along with Preston boss Ryan Lowe. It was reported that Jarell Quansah was said to be of interest, whilst Mateusz Musiałowski was spoken of highly by the former Manchester City midfielder. The newest name to be linked this week was Ellery Balcombe and that move looks set to go through with reports of a medical this week. Balcombe was recalled from Crawley Town by Brentford, and his next move seems imminent. Both Balcombe and Quansah have been followed by club owner Wael al-Qadi, which is a usual indication that a player is on their radar.

With that in mind, here we take a look at what the Bristol Rovers XI could be come the end of the January transfer window after several players were linked with a move.
