Bristol Rovers and Paul Tisdale’s time with one another was short and not very sweet with the experienced Football League manager spending just 82 days in the role before he was sacked by the hierarchy.
The 49-year-old oversaw 19 games, winning five matches, drawing three and losing on 11 occasions which gave him his second worst win percentage in his career. His lack of success at the club contributed to the clubs relegation to League Two along with Ben Garner’s earlier sacking in the season.
Fans weren’t even able to witness a game under Paul Tisdale as he was appointed last season when all games were played behind-closed-doors so they could only offer an opinion from what they saw from internet streams.
Just over a year since he was given the chop by the Gas board, he takes charge of their League Two rivals Stevenage, with the two set to do battle at the Lamex Stadium this coming Saturday.
Whilst Tisdale didn’t recruit many of his own players given the lack of time spent in the role, he still fielded a number of teams and played a number of formations, as well as trying out different players.
Interestingly, Rovers could find themselves up against two of their former players from last season given Tisdale recruited Ed Upson from Newport County in the January transfer window.
Upson wasn’t involved in Tisdale’s last game in charge of Rovers, which was a 2-0 home defeat to Oxford United, which brought to an end his tenure. We though take a look at the last XI to take to the field uner Tisdale and tell you what happened to them after that defeat in February.

13. Zain Westbrooke: Stevenage (Bristol Rovers, loan)
Signed as a player that would hopefully propel the club to the next level following his success with Coventry, it didn’t work out like that. The 25-year-old after playing just nine minutes this season reunited with Tisdale in January but won’t be eligible to play against his parent club. | Getty Images Photo: Harry Trump/Getty Images

14. Jonah Ayunga - Morecambe
After impressing in the non-league, Jonah Ayunga was given a chance with Rovers, signing for an undisclosed fee from Sutton United. The 24-year-old played 35 times and found the net on three occasions but was later sold to Morecambe. 15. Brandon Hanlan - Wycombe Wanderers
Signed from Gillingham which later transpired into the club having to pay a fee at a tribunal. He was subject of interest from Lincoln City but the fee was desiory and he played against Exeter. Joey Barton wanted to keep him but after Hanlan stressed his desire to leave he was sold to Wycombe Wanderers.
