Bristol Rovers have allowed a further two players to leave the club on loan as they gain valuable experience in the men’s senior game.

Second-year scholars Jarmani Langlais and Malik Sesay are both heading out to join non-league teams Slimbridge and Swindon Supermarine. Both are one-month deals, but they can be recalled during their spell and will remain training at the Gas’ training base in Almondsbury, whilst also training in the evening for their loan club. Both players are under the age of 21 years old and so don’t need to be registered in Rovers’ 22-man EFL squad, should they require them for any senior matches.

Langlais is heading to Slimbridge, who play in the eighth tier of English football, playing in the Southern League Division One South. They play against the likes of Paulton Rovers, Bideford, and Bristol Manor Farm. Langlais is joining a team that is rooted bottom of the table and in danger of relegation. He played against Chelsea’s Under-21s in the EFL Trophy last year.

“We are delighted to bring Jarmani in on loan and look forward to seeing him in action for us," said Slimbridge’s manager on their official club website after Langlais’ arrival at Thornhill Park.

“I would like to thank Kevin Russell, our Head of Youth Development, Steve Tully and Bristol Rovers FC personally for their help and assistance with this, as they have been extremely helpful and Steve has also been great to work with on this loan arrangement.

“We have a busy schedule of games coming up and I have no doubt that Jarmani will fit straight in with our excellent group of players.”

Sesay was an unused substitute against Shrewsbury Town in their League One match in August and was also amongst the substitutes for their FA Cup tie against Peterborough United last season. He was part of the squad that went out to Portugal in pre-season.

The 19-year-old defender is joining Swindon Supermarine, who borrowed Kieran Phillips last season and enjoyed a prolific goal-scoring campaign, before joining Gloucester City after his release. Swindon Supermarine play in the seventh tier of English football, playing in the Southern League Premier. They are currently 11th and are just four points off of the playoffs.

Sesay will play in the same division as fellow Gas academy player Jerry Lawrence who is on loan at Salisbury. Sesay could also come up against Sam Heal, who is on loan at bottom side North Leigh.

Langlais and Sesay’s departures are in addition to Jamie Egan joining Weymouth on loan earlier this week, as well as Lucas Vaughan’s departure to Lyndey Town.
