Former Bristol Rovers and Hibs man wanted on free transfer by Championship and League One clubs
According to Football Insider, both Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers have made moves to sign Sylvester Jasper this month. Jasper is a free agent and is available on a free transfer after cancelled his contract with Portuguese club Portimonense.

Hide AdDutch club NAC Breda, who are currently fifteenth in the Eredivisie are also keeping tabs on the situation. Jasper can sign for any club outside of the transfer window, but whether it be Bolton, Blackburn or any other English team, they will need to have a free slot left after submitting their squad lists to the EFL and the Premier League.
During his time out in Portugal, Jasper made 30 appearances, registering two goals and two assists. He started the season playing for Portimonense's reserve team, and after just one game for them this term, it was decided that the two would part ways.
Jasper played eight times for the Gas having joined on a season-long loan from Fulham in 2022/23. He played a part in two goals, getting assists in an EFL Trophy tie against Swindon Town, as well as a League One fixture against Cambridge United. The Bulgarian under-21 international never started a game in League One for Rovers, and instead had to settle for six appearances off the bench.

Hide AdHis loan was abruptly ended when in a press conference Joey Barton claimed the player was unhappy with his pitch time, however Jasper penned a message to those associated with the club thanking them for how they treated him during his time spent at the club.
The 22-year-old can count Colchester United and Hibernian as his other former clubs. At Colchester, he racked up three goals and two assists in 24 games in League Two, whereas at Hearts, there was two assists in 16 games.
