Ranked: Championship, League One and Two’s 20 best young players - including Bristol Rovers, Nottingham Forest and Bolton stars

The Championship, League One and League Two have concluded their regular seasons and it’s been another dramatic campaign across the three divisions.

Promoted to the Premier League automatically are Championship winners Fulham and AFC Bournemouth, who were a class above the rest.

League One finished over a week ago and already we know that there will be a play-off final between Sunderland and Wycombe Wanderers for a place in English football’s second tier, where they hope to join Wigan Athletic and Rotherham United.

Replacing the six gaps in League One are champions Forest Green Rovers, Exeter City and Bristol Rovers, who were promoted in the most dramatic of circumstances.

There are still the Championship and League Two play-offs to look forward to and the first legs begin this week with two finals to be held at the end of May.

But for many fans, the seasons are over and this year, the EFL has once again proven itself as the pyramid structure for young talent.

Opportunities are hard to come by for youngsters in the Premier League so instead we see loan players sent out to lower league clubs or even better, these teams develop their own academy players.

Some teams have looked to players either 21-years-old or younger more than others with all 72 teams having a different approach to how they blood through the next crop of players.

The likes of Fabio Carvalho of Fulham has attracted the interest of Liverpool, whilst plenty are waxing lyrical of Elliot Anderson, who spent the last five months at the Memorial Stadium on loan from Newcastle United.

For some players, this was their first season in senior level football whilst for others they’ve just built on already good prospective careers and got better with age.
