Sheffield Wednesday look at defender

Sheffield Wednesday continue to take a look at left-back Sam Reed on trial, according to The Star. The 19-year-old currently plays for Northern Premier League Division One East side Brighouse Town but is hoping to earn a deal in the Football League. However, Hassan Ayari is no longer training with the Owls and has returned to rivals Sheffield United.

Ipswich Town attacker leaves

Ipswich Town forward Ben Morris has left Portman Road for a new chapter in his career in America. The 23-year-old has been snapped up by USL Championship side Detroit City on a permanent deal ahead of their 2023 season, with the club holding the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months on top of that. He spent 16 years with the Tractor Boys and made five first-team appearances, as well as having loan spells at Woking and Forest Green Rovers.

Portsmouth to bring in new number two

Portsmouth are expected to bring in Jon Harley as John Mousinho’s number two, as per The News. The former Burnley and Sheffield United defender currently works in the academy at Chelsea. Pompey won 1-0 last time out against Burton Albion.
