Lincoln City are keen to sign Blackpool loan man Matty Virtue on a permanent basis, as per a report by the Blackpool Gazette. He has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Imps this term and has chipped in with two goals. He is out of contract this summer at Bloomfield Road and is due to become a free agent.

Derby County failed in January bid

Derby County had a bid rejected by Sheffield Wednesday for right-back Jack Hunt in the January transfer window, as per The Star. The Rams were interested in luring the defender to Pride Park from their third tier rivals ahead of the second-half of the campaign. However, Darren Moore’s side had no intention of letting the former Bristol City man leave Hillsborough.

Peterborough United tie up defender deal

Peterborough United defender Aaron Powell has signed a new contract with the club. He had a loan spell earlier this term with Welling United to gain some experience and has now penned a long-term deal at London Road.

He has told their website: “I’m obviously delighted to have signed a new contract with the club. It has been an up-and-down season for me, but I think I have done what I needed to do and I am pleased that I have been offered a new deal.”
