Bolton Wanderers striker Conor Carty has been loaned out to St Patrick’s Athletic to get some experience under his belt. The 20-year-old had stints in the National League earlier in this campaign at Gateshead and Oldham Athletic and will now test himself in the League of Ireland. St Pat’s season starts on 17th February and they finished 4th last term.

Charlton Athletic man focused on the task at hand

Charlton Athletic starlet Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, who is on loan from Crystal Palace, was linked with a departure in the January transfer window. However, he ended up staying put at The Valley and will remain with the Addicks until the summer.

He has told London News Online that he wasn’t distracted by the winter transfer talk: “It’s hard to hear all the noise but I just try to block it out and focus on where I’m at now, which is Charlton. I’m trying to give one hundred per cent for the team and the supporters. Mark [Bright, Palace loanee manager] has been helping me and advising me. Saying I should put my head down and work hard and the goals will come.”
