Hutch of class - Isaac shines in our Bristol Rovers player ratings
Hutchinson on Cloud Nine as Gas return to winning ways with victory over Peterborough
Josh Griffiths: quiet first half with only making low grabs but when called into action in the second half he stood firm up until the last minute when the goal was scored. 7
Lino Souza: Excellent game from the left back keeping his marker neutralized throughout while providing good attacking threat. 8
James Wilson: Scored Rovers first from a corner and looked fantastic at the back keeping albeit a poor Peterborough attack quiet until late on. 7
Grant Ward: some sloppy moments from the midfielder but he was good at linking play and winning the ball back. 6
Ruel-ing class
Ruel Sotiriou: Although quiet in parts today, when he got the ball he looked dangerous every single time. Sotiriou took his goal brilliantly to wrap up the three points. 8
Luke Thomas (Subbed 72) A good performance from the winger today as he had a lively first half creating and having chances by finding numerous bits of space.7
Connor Taylor: Voted man of the match today and understandably as he was mighty at the back today mixed in with a few maisie runs from an interception. 8
Isaac Hutchinson: A great performance topped off with a goal, always looking to receive the ball in forward areas and a nightmare from opposing midfielders. 9
Matt’s the way
Gatlin O’Donkor (subbed off due to injury in the 40th minute) a quiet 40 minutes topped off with him having to come off with injury although he was given his opposition full back problems with pace and power. 6
Matt Butcher: on debut today and it seems that Rovers have got a good one. Despite only having threee training sessions he fit in perfectly and topped his debut off with an assist for the first goal. 8
Jack Hunt: on his return from injury and it was a brilliant performance from the veteran. Looked composed while defending and offered real threat going forward including his skilfull run early on.7
SUBS
Chris Martin (Subbed on in the 40th minute) for the second time in three home games, the veteran was brought on early due to an injury and once again showed he still has real quality to offer despite his age.7
Scott Sinclair (subbed on in the 72nd minute) brought on at 2-0 to try and seal the win and although he didn’t have a direct impact he was given his marker problems with different runs and quick feet.6
