How a combined League One & League Two table would look if based on crowds - and where Bristol Rovers, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Lincoln, Bradford City and Ipswich would sit

Attendances between League One and League Two aren’t too far off of one another but there are some anomalies

League One and League Two are the two divisions of the life and blood of the English Football Leagues, with teams ranging from fallen Premier League giants to non-league risers.

But how would a 48-team table look like from the third and fourth tiers of English football if it was based on average crowds and who can boast the best support?

Unsurprisingly, Sunderland are up there near the top with the Black Cats getting over 30,000 on average at the Stadium of Light, which makes for incredible support.

Ipswich Town and Portsmouth are also sides that boast huge support, despite their obvious fall from grace, having both been involved in European competition since the turn of the millennium.

If you drop down a division then Bristol Rovers for the umpteenth time this season have sold out the Memorial Stadium for their final day fixture against basement side Scunthorpe United. Their sell out has only called for more demand to either increase the capacity of the ground or to move to a newer stadium.

They are one of the teams in the division with the highest attendances, along with Mark Hughes’ Bradford City who despite a poor home record, boast the best support, as the only team with double figures.

At the bottom half of the table, there are then the likes of Salford City and Forest Green Rovers in League Two who boast financial riches at this level but perhaps don’t have the support to merit the success that they have, but football isn’t played off the pitch.

Below is the position of all 48-teams in League One and League Two based on their average attendances according to Transfermarkt and how they rank.
