Swindon Town have decided to move on Cian Harries after just one season at the club.

Swindon published their retained list and announced that Harries would be one of seven players leaving the County Ground. Michael Flynn was appointed manager of Swindon earlier this month and has taken the decision to move him on and implement his own ideas on the playing squad.
Harries made seven appearances for Swindon in all competitions - which included a return to the Memorial Stadium in the EFL Trophy, where he suffered a 3-0 defeat. The Wales Under-21 international last appeared for Swindon in November and had been dealing with a significant hamstring injury that ruled him out for most of the campaign.
Reacting to his lack of appearances, Harries said in a tweet posted earlier this month: “Another season come & gone. My most disappointing, frustrating, and toughest 1 yet.

Harries’ compatriot Jonny Williams was also released and could be a player of interest to Rovers. Williams has been at Swindon for two seasons and got 10 goals and two assists this term. Mo Dabre, Harry Parsons, George Cowmeadow, Oscar Massey, and Morgan Roberts are others who have been allowed to leave.
Charlie Austin - who had a brief trial period at Rovers this season - is under contract for another campaign, and remains with the club that gave him his first opportunity in the Football League. Dylan Kadji - who spent six months on loan from Bristol City - has returned from Swindon following his spell there. Kadji made 13 appearances in total for Swindon but did not feature in their final match of the campaign against Crawley Town.
