Every League Two side’s most valuable player including Northampton, Mansfield, Hartlepool

League Two has a fine display of talent on offer, especially when it comes to Northampton, Forest Green, Mansfield and Hartlepool but there is a big differentiation when it comes to a players value

League Two has a tremendous amount of talent on offer with up-and-coming youngsters to experienced journeymen who are reliable in the fourth tier.

Clubs such as Mansfield Town, Hartlepool, Swindon Town and Northampton lead the way when it comes to how much their players are worth. Some though will only have their players until the end of the season with a number on loan whilst others have the luxury of cashing in on their players with secure contracts.

At this level, it’s hard to hold on to your best players because usually if there’s an ounce of ability shown then higher league clubs come sniffing. Some clubs though persevere and year-after-year develop players that shine for their respective teams. Others meanwhile have to scour the lower leagues or hope to pick up a player on a free transfer to add quality to their squad.

The recent January transfer window changed the division ever so slightly as clubs strengthened in the areas they needed to when trying to change the outcome of their season. Clubs are still feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic so not much money was spent but still a good number of players either moved teams across the division or higher league talent were obtained either on loan or in a shock transfer.

Going off of football data website TransferMarkt.co.uk which compiles information such as a players value as well as other statistics, we take a look at what they say when it comes to who is the most valued player in every League Two side’s squad.
