The English Football League have confirmed when the League Two play-off semi-finals and final will take place with Bristol Rovers holding an interest.

Depending on the outcome of their results, Rovers could be one of the sides that has a prolonged season, albeit by a maximum of two to three games.

Joey Barton’s side are currently sixth in the table and should the season end now would be one of the four teams involved in the end-of-season spectacle.

As it stands, Rovers would be facing fifth-placed Northampton Town and would play them at home first on Saturday, May 14 given their league position before playing the return leg four days later at Sixfields on Wednesday, May 18.

The final is due to take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 28, which is the same day as the UEFA Champions League final, which is being held in Paris, having initially been scheduled for Moscow.
