The best value for money season-tickets for EVERY League One club including Bristol Rovers, Sheff Wed & Ipswich

Being a season ticket holder at your club is the best way to support them - but did everyone get rewarded for their loyalty?

Bristol Rovers supporters boast some of the best support in League One - both home and away. The Gas enjoyed a respectable finish in their first season back in the third tier, and despite not having the biggest of grounds, and limited by yellow tape for capacity, the Memorial Stadium was in the top half when it came to average home attendances.

Rovers fans supported the club in their numbers, and most games were a sell out at the Mem, with some big teams coming like promoted Ipswich Town, Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday who all brought sizeable away followings.

A season ticket is the best way to support your club in the long-term as it can make savings, but admittedly it is quite the investment to make. Season tickets are on sale now, and fans will be hoping that Joey Barton can assemble a squad capable of challenging for the play-offs. It’s been 30 years since Rovers have been in the second tier, and despite losing some key personnel this summer, the creation of a new stand will allow for more supporters to come through the turnstiles and that will increase revenue streams which ultimately means that more money could be available for transfers.

A study has been undertaken by Betfred, who have looked in to the cost of every season ticket in the 2022/23 campaign. Their aim was to determine which club had the best value-for-money purchase in regards to home wins this season. A win is home is assumed because it’s your ground to defend, but not every team has the best record in front of their fans.

Betfred’s study looks at home wins this season, as well as the amount of goals scored. Here are the results, with running from worst value to best. If you’d like to view the study in full, it’s available here.
